Gale of the Norse by arachnid223 Gale of the Norse by arachnid223
Inspired by the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics commercial, Gale of the Norse is my first blizzard scene. The render was initially going an entirely different direction before being edited in Adobe Photoshop, so I may have an updated version of this render soon. I created the peak with Geocontrol 2 and exported it to e-on software, Vue for texturing and atmosphere creation. The blizzard snow was added in Photoshop.

Thank you! I feel as though I'm finally getting the hang of the multiple layering and distribution.

real good work! I would've loved to see the snow fall in a secific angle, maybe say 30 degrees or so rather than fall flat on the ground, since you've made it a blizzard scene. Buti it looks fantastic this way too ^_^

Thanks! Yeah, I know what you mean. I tried to get it to fall on more of an angle with the motion blur, but it didn't do it enough. Oh well.
